Privacy Policy
Effective Date: July 27, 2026
MyAppDesk ("we", "us", or "our") operates PlayTable, a web application available at www.playtable.online (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use the App.
By using PlayTable, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Playing Without an Account
PlayTable can be played against the computer without creating an account. In that mode we do not collect any personal data on our servers. Your preferences — language, sound, table and card skins, and per-game settings — are stored locally in your browser and never leave your device.
1.2 Information You Provide
If you choose to sign in to play online, level up, or collect items, we collect:
- Email address — used only to send you a one-time sign-in code and to identify your account. PlayTable uses passwordless sign-in; we never ask for or store a password.
- Username and display name — chosen by you and visible to other players.
- Profile picture — optional. If you upload one, the image is stored in our file storage and shown to other players.
1.3 Information Generated by Playing
When you play online we store data tied to your account:
- Match history: which games you played, when, who took part and how each match ended.
- Progress: level, experience points, coins, and the cosmetic items you own and have equipped.
- Skill rating (MMR) and leaderboard position, per game and per season.
- Friend requests, friendships, lobby membership and invitations.
- A "last seen" timestamp used to show whether a player is currently online.
1.4 Technical Information
Our hosting and backend providers process standard technical data needed to deliver the App securely, such as IP address, browser type and request logs. These logs are used for security, abuse prevention and debugging, and are retained only for a limited period.
1.5 What We Do Not Collect
- We do not run advertising, ad networks, or advertising cookies.
- We do not run third-party analytics or tracking pixels.
- We do not sell or rent your personal data to anyone.
- We do not track you across other websites.
2. Cookies and Local Storage
PlayTable does not use advertising or tracking cookies. It uses browser storage in two ways:
- Strictly necessary storage — your sign-in session (so you stay signed in) and your own settings: language, sound, equipped skins, per-game options, and your cookie choice. This storage is required for the App to work and is set on your device only.
- Optional storage — reserved for anonymous usage analytics. No analytics are in use at this time. If we ever introduce them, they will remain off unless you turn them on.
You can review or change your choice at any time from the "Cookies" link in the bar at the bottom of the App, or from Settings. Clearing your browser storage removes your local settings and signs you out.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information described above to:
- Create and maintain your account and keep you signed in.
- Run online matches, lobbies, invitations and friend lists.
- Track progress, coins, achievements, ratings and leaderboards.
- Show your username and profile picture to other players you play or interact with.
- Keep the service secure, prevent abuse and cheating, and fix problems.
- Respond to you when you contact us.
Legal bases (GDPR): performance of a contract (providing the App you asked for), our legitimate interests (security, abuse prevention, service improvement), and your consent where consent is requested.
4. Information Shared With Other Players
PlayTable is a multiplayer service. When you play online, other players can see:
- Your username and display name.
- Your profile picture, if you set one.
- Your level and, where shown, your rating and leaderboard position.
- Whether you are currently online, and matches you played together.
Your email address is never shown to other players.
5. Service Providers
We share data only with the providers needed to run the App:
- Supabase — database, authentication, and file storage for profile pictures.
- Email delivery provider — sends the one-time sign-in code to your email address.
- Hosting provider — serves the web application.
These providers act as processors on our behalf and are not permitted to use your data for their own purposes. Where data is transferred outside the European Economic Area, the transfer is covered by appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
We may also disclose information where required by law, or to protect our rights, safety, or the safety of others.
6. Data Retention
- Account data (profile, progress, ratings) is kept for as long as your account exists.
- Match records are kept so that history, leaderboards and ratings stay consistent.
- Technical logs are kept for a limited period for security and debugging.
If you ask us to delete your account, we delete or anonymise your personal data. Match records may be retained in an anonymised form so that other players' history and ratings remain accurate.
7. Your Rights
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Rectify inaccurate or incomplete data — you can edit your profile in the App.
- Erase your data ("right to be forgotten").
- Restrict or object to certain processing.
- Portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
- Withdraw consent at any time, where processing is based on consent.
- Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. In Spain this is the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos (www.aepd.es).
To exercise any of these rights — including deleting your account — email us at team@myappdesk.dev from the address linked to your account. We respond within one month.
8. Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit (HTTPS), passwordless authentication, and database access rules that restrict each account to its own data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Children's Privacy
PlayTable is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child under 13 has given us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Effective Date" above and, where appropriate, by a notice in the App. Continued use of PlayTable after a change means you accept the updated policy.
